Did you Win?

Wahoo – how many others out there have finished their novels?  Are you still going?  Keep up the good work.

Last run to the finish line

We can count in hours the length of time left for this years SoCNoC.
The best thing to do now is keep going, strive until the last minute ticks away.

Three more days of SoCNoC to go! A big congratulations to those who have already made it to the 50,000 word mark and good luck to those who are still plugging away.

Nearing the end

We are nearing the end of SoCNoC. *Cue ominous music* I'm in the 'last minute' writing group.  My worst fear is that the writer’s block I have been plagued with will come back to haunt me over this last weekend, ripping my word count to shreds.  I'm all about prevention, and I think the first step to solving a problem is figuring out why you have it in the first place.  So, what is writer’s block and why does it occur?

The Joy of SoCNoC

The joy of SoCNoC

I’ve enjoyed reading the daily blog posts by different authors during SoCNoC – the advice is great and it’s interesting to hear how other writers are getting on.  Blacksheep and Jayztar this week talked about their novels running away with them. I really love that part of SoCNoC - when your characters take on a life of their own and start doing unexpected things, even though it can create the need for hasty plot rethinks.
