The End is Nigh

This August Kiwi Writers challenges YOU to finish either a work of fiction or complete anything else writing related.

The Rules

Choose one or more uncompleted works of fiction or writing related tasks to complete in the 31 days of August.

To be a winner all you need to do is update your count to 1 once you've completed that elusive work of fiction. Clearly this doesn't allow other participants to understand your progress to cheer you on to that next milestone. However, we suggest that you post your estimated word count in your signature along with your starting point. Update this throughout the month and keep active within The End is Nigh forum to get that all important encouragement.

Some Quick Points

* we have set the 'goal' of the challenge to '1' thing, but that 'thing' can be anything you like. You are free to make that writing, editing, letter writing, submissions, anything you desire which is writing related (and we'd be very interested to know what that is in the forums)

* if that thing is something you've been meaning to do for a while, then even better

* you may choose to do more than 1 thing, like 2 things or 17 things or many many more - it's entirely up to you

* all we want to do is encourage you to get off your behind, take up the slack and get something finished

* if you do more than one thing, update your goal to that number so we can cheer you on even more
