Q: What is the challenge section?
Having this section was one of the main ideas pushing KiwiWriters.org. We wanted to have challenges throughout the year since this allows people to come together, face adversity and (most importantly) get creative.
Q: How can I join in a challenge?
Firstly you need to be signed in, then head over to the main Challenge section or straight to the Site Challenges page.
From there, you can take a look to see if there are any current challenges, any upcoming challenges or you may wish to browse the challenge archive.
Once you have found a challenge you want to participate in, then click Accept the Challenge! Once you have done this, your progress will be shown alongside everyone else's and you will be able to update it once the challenge begins.
Q: When can I update my progress?
Each challenge has a details page which shows the start time, end time and goal of each challenge. This will automatically change to allow updating of your progress once the start time passes and the challenge is still in progress.
Q: How do I get my participant/winner banner? How can I use it on my site?
Again, the challenge details page will show you your participant banner but only if you have Accepted the Challenge.
Your winners banner will appear once you have passed the goal set in the challenge within the time limit specified.
We would appreciate if you could copy these images to your own server and link to them there instead of linking directly here.
How you use or upload the banners to your site depends on the kind of site you have. Most blogs have an image upload capability which you can use, or seek advice from a techie friend or your site administrator.
