Lol, mother in law rang tonight and over the course of conversation advised me she'd given my NaNo to her mother to read. Apparently she really enjoyed it, and thinks I'm more brilliant than she did prior to reading it.
It's pretty cool, even though I am sure it's a biased opinion ;-)

Nice - my mom got one for Christmas and only said that it "wasn't the usual style of book she reads" - no comments since. :)

lol well, maybe it just wasn't the style shes into? It could be that simple!
I have promised another book after SoCNoC, so there is some strong incentive to finish ;-)

That's great news! Especially from your MIL. :)

I'm behind with getting the Nano novel around to people who've heard about it from others - hampered by the fact that I'm trying to get s synopsis and submission letter together for a publisher as well.
Then there are the people who're begging for first read of the Socnoc, which I'm not even half way through (word count notwithstanding)!
Isn't it a buzz when they come back for more - all the self doubt disappears for minutes at a time!

Yes for just a few minutes though!
Thats so neat that your working towards submission, I'm totally envious of people brave enough to do that!

See how brave I am when (I mean IF dammit!) the rejection letter arrives!
