This should be interesting. I have never done a fantasy before, but there's a story forming in the brain box. :)

No we don't, and I am sure you'll do just fine!
I'm going to use this to add 10K to my WIP, because theoretically I should be done editing the novel I am submitting and have sent it out into the big wide world. I have wizard type characters already, and a bad guy who is just delish, and so all I need to add is a fish! 12 Feb 2008 09:38:25 |

This sounds like it's going to be a lot of fun. I'm still debating with myself whether to join in. I'll see how hectic life is by then.

Oh I've got the fish sorted Cassie.
I liked this piece from a novel I'm presently reading. "Bump was a small hill of a man, bent almost double due to the hump which was his upper spine. His head which was over large for his size, jutted up from between the twisted framework of his shoulders. His whole body undulated with the force of propelling himself forward; he reminded Hannah of a rainbow trout flexing its way upstream." My character will be reading this, then look up and see this enormous rainbow trout struggling upstream. 12 Feb 2008 15:12:13

lol cool.
It's nice when you know ahead of time how you are going to slot things in. I am sure the fish won't be too hard to work into the story line ;-) Hope you'll have enough time to fit it in Michal, can always sign up, and spend the next couple weeks thinking about the story so that you have a good start on what you are going to write. 12 Feb 2008 19:03:13 |

No, surprisingly not! Everyone is waiting for it to hit - I don't think I'll get that way until maybe the day before the ceremony, or the morning. Everything is really well organized, whatever happens happens, I'm just going with the flow! lol I wrote my vows yesterday, and rewrote the draft ceremony which the celebrant had given us, feeling good about those things :-) Very different kind of writing!!
The only reason I'll be nervous is about being the centre of attention for the day, not generally a position I am very comfortable with! hehe. 13 Feb 2008 08:14:01 |

Glad everyone is liking my march challenge.
I still am not sure where the fish came from but that is nothing unusual. I am doing my WIP fantasy and now have to work out what a fish would be doing in a wizard school and why all of a sudden their is an evil side to the wizard set up..LOL Cassie: just enjoy the day. I too hate being infront of people but the wedding was different because I was totally focused just on my new hubby. Everything will go well and writing your own vows just makes it that much more special. Congrats! 13 Feb 2008 12:59:58

hehe thanks :-)
Oh and I totally didn't mean to copy your name for the challenge I put up! I have the techno remix from the movie 300 running through my head. 'this is madness, no this is sparta!!' 13 Feb 2008 14:18:56 |

No worries, the more madness the better :)
As for that 300 movie, do not get me started on the historical issues with it. The only subject I aced in high school was ancient history- Greece.. LOL for some reason I just loved it. Plus this time of year is total madness for most people. 13 Feb 2008 15:37:59

Oh, go on then ... twist my arm.
Fish makes me think of Atlantis so I'm going to have a smack at writing something funny. I already have two characters in mind: General Principles and General Fiction. So we'll see how the rest goes. 15 Feb 2008 22:08:10 |

'Twist, twist,' go on you know you want to. Sounds intriguing so far.
I saw the pilot of 'Pushing Daisies' on TV and enjoyed it too. Bit different. 16 Feb 2008 14:46:36

hehe thanks. No honeymoon for us, just back home and into things, normality is lovely. I love just being at home kicking around, getting the place tidy again. And am looking forward to when everyone is going home tomorrow so I can get back into writing and editing.
It was just going to be too difficult to get away, little one had enough separation issues with us being gone for one night, I don't think I could handle pushing for more than that. All good tho! She came out to our hotel with us last night and we had a camp out in the lounge so that was a lot of fun. We'll be going away on a family trip sometime later in the year hopefully, somewhere where there is a good zoo! 18 Feb 2008 11:02:54 |

Adding a mad march hare would then be getting me to inflict others with an Alice in Wonderland type story and I can tell you no one is ready for it!

I've never read the Wizard of Oz. I had another idea, about a world where everything is taken literally. But then I realised there'd be a lot of funerals, because every time someone said "I'd die for you!" they would ...
