Many of us have finished our novels, or are close to finishing them off and now that SoCNoC has officially ended we thought it would be a good time to share some of our stories. The writing has been a lot of fun, but every now and then it's nice to take a break, and what better way to do that than to read!

This is purely optional, but if you'd like to share your work with others from the kiwiwriters community there are a few of us who would love to read your stories.

So some basic guidelines!

Post in the thread if you are wanting to swap novels with others and maybe write a little about your novel so we can get excited about what we can read.
Let us know if you want any feedback on your novel, it's entirely your call - lots, a little or none at all.
If you do want to swap but you're not quite ready for your work to be read yet thats fine! Just let us know when you're ready to share, we'd love this to be an ongoing thing.

When you find something you want to read just send kiwimail to the writer and you can arrange the best way for you to swap your stories, whether thats email, snail mail or a link to an online location.

And above all, enjoy! You can learn a lot about writing from reading other peoples work, but it's also a good way to relax and celebrate our efforts over the month of June, we all did so well!

My (half) novel will be ready for swapping in about one weeks time. I just have to recover the first half from my old hard drive and give it a read through then you're all welcome to have a read.
Its the completed part one of the novel, a fantasy piece about a girl forced to make some life changes in order to escape marrying a man she does not want to - and many other things.

Yeah, this sounds like a great idea. I'm keen to swap though again, not quite ready. Probably 3k from finishing so maybe later in the week. I'll post again when ready :-)

I am willing to swap my unedited novel:

Sequential Errors, a thriller/slightly sci-fi mystery based around a group of scientists at Massey NZ, sequencing the DNA of the tuatara.

Please e-mail me at L.J.Collins@massey.ac.nz if you would like a copy.
Please be aware that I am off to a conference next week if you have a delay in getting something from me.
I would love to read other peoples novels when they are done.
Cheers all.

I thought that I'd posted here already. Apparently not.

Am willing to swap, but still have some work to do on the novel - maybe by the weekend or something next week. Maybe 1k left to do.

Great idea! I'm willing to read others, and if you guys are game enough to cope with a first time effort of mine.
Chick one really. 'A woman is transported back to the 1950's, and grows up with the problems of the era, e.g. unwed mother, Maori Father.
Then it flashes back to the turn of the century, through both wars, up to the 1950's again. Finishes 15 yrs into the future. Contact kiwimail for email address. :)
