The weekly meet ups for NaNoWriMo in the Wellington area were great and during the Thank Got Its Over party there was interest in having a monthly catch up. So, without further ado...

1pm on the 3rd Sunday of every month, beginning 20th January 2008, at Esquires Coffee House (Shop 2, Holiday Inn. 75 Featherston Street. Wellington).

It would be great to see you there in the New Year!

EDIT
And the dates for the rest of the year are...

17 February
16 March
20 April
18 May
15 June
20 July
17 August
21 September
19 October
16 November
21 December

Kerryn, over on NaNo you mentioned that the first one would be this month, on the 16th? Has it been changed?

Much as I enjoyed the meet ups and keen as I am to come along to them, if there is one on the 16th of this month then I doubt I will be there. Pre-xmas fever has gripped my household and I suspect that the madness will only increase ten-fold next weekend.

We are hosting the xmas dinner for the family this year, so there is a mad rush of not only tidying the house but also beautifying any parts of the grounds that are likely to be seen from the house as well.

It is madness I tell you! Madness!!

Ahem ... anyway ... looking forward to seeing y'all at the meeting in Jan08.

Silly boy chris. If this glorious weather keeps up, I shall be sitting in the shade of the weeping willow tree, eating a sandwich. :)

Wish I could get to Welly meet-ups. ):

We too have been gripped by Xmas fever and I think it will be easier for all to start in the new year. Though, I don't see why others should be discouraged to meet up this weekend.

I'll be there (the Jan one)! I hope to have writing time in the new year (I'm in the usual December situation of being both glad and bereft that Nano is over).

If people want to meet on Sunday I can probably make it too.

I think so Brain, but, if halos were made of treacle, wouldn't angels be all sticky?

I'm even further down the line angeldreams. I would love to meet some characters on here, study them then write a novel about them.
Ha only joking! :0)

Did anyone get to the meet up this month? I'll be able to get to the February one but will have to miss March (fiance's birthday).

I'm in for this Sunday for February. Haven't done much (any?) writing recently but I'm sure that won't be held against me :-)

Hey just popping in because I have been a mega slack kiwiwriter for many months now, but just to let you know I'm still keeping my eye on the site and have many good intentions to get back into things when life settles down a bit (I know, I know, when does that ever happen, right?). May even be able to make the write in this Sunday, by some miracle I don't have work that day.

Happy 1st birthday Kiwiwriters! The logo at the moment looks great. And I don't know if Keaz had anything to do with it, I definitely noticed that the icing on the cake was pink and most probably very thick ;)

Jane :D

Oh yay! I hope you do make in angellic.

Josh produced the pink icing himself but I did have a good laugh when I first saw it! Very appropriate. :)

Anyway, I'm sorry to the both of you, but I just had to point it out :-P

Well, sometimes these things seem great at the time and then they just kinda fade away. I wouldn't worry about it. Better to have tried and to have forgotten than to have never tried at all :-)

We'll have a new writer attending the March meeting. Joanne posted on the NZ Book Council site asking about Wellington based writers groups. I'm not sure that I can make it so if someone else could be that would be great. :)

You did make it Kerryn - nice to see you :-)

Nobody else came except Chikako and me, but I enjoyed the get-together.

Chikako was having some problems registering with this site - said she "wasn't getting the confirmation email".
