I have just been reading my course material for one of my papers this year. I have to write an epic poem based on the life of Aethelfrith and we are given a measley 1,000 words to do it in.
This time last year I would have been beating my head on the desk at the thought of creatively writing 1,000 words in a short time (it's due at the end of March), but after nano I find myself thinking "1,000 words, is that all?" LOL
It is interesting how one month can change your perception of life forever, and I must say 'thank you NaNo!'

Congrats on the change redfox. Pushing yourself like we do with the challenges we find out just what we're capable of.

Yeah, months like NaNo, SoCNoC or indeed any of these challenges that challenge your perception of what you are capable of really does show that we can extend ourselves a great amount when necessary.
