At the moment, it's all on trust (we're a very trusting bunch), though we want to add that feature sometime in the future.

Ok, thanks. There was one thing about NaNo that I didn't really like (well, it was actually my stupid computer, but...). Instead of chapters, I did sections, and each section would be seperated by either a ~ or - or = thingies, and when I did my own word count, it would count those as words. This time, I'll use chapters.

Yeah, the funny thing is, my own program I use to do Word Count was exactly the same as NaNoWriMo - it counted -'s and ='s and ~'s as words.

This also means if and when we do it, it will be exactly the same! This is both unfortunate but in reality, it's the easiest solution.

They do mention that there can be a discrepancy between different word counts so at least people are made aware of it.

Anyway...I'm jabbering on.

That's right - you just use the unix 'wc' program right?

That's right. So whatever it says, I go with! I think a few words here or there don't usually make too much difference unless you're just scraping through :-)

Well, the way NaNo has us program it...something like A-Z,a-z,0-9 or whatever would also make the numbers letters, which means words, right? But that's only with scrambling...Ahh!!! I'm confusing myself! But, yeah...live and learn, I'm doing chapters this time.
