I have few scenes I need to write but I'm unsure how to put them together. Here's how it goes:
* In one scene, someone is hiding from a group of others. * In the next scene, I'm setting up the group and the mission they are on. They're not necessarily going to find the person in scene one - but they might (read: will). So, how do I eventually put the scenes together. At first I thought I would go: * scene 1 * scene 2 * go back to 1 and make the group stumble upon the person hiding Or do I: * scene 1 * scene 2 - then have the group find the person hiding Hmmm, now that I've written it out, maybe it all depends on which perspective I want the story told from. Any other ideas? 03 Nov 2007 10:15:04

I was just going to say that it really depends on what the finding scene sets up for the rest of the story. As you said, it depends on perspective as well.
Another idea is that you could write both: *scene 1 *scene 2 - then have the group find the person hiding *go back to 1 and make the group stumble upon the person hiding Then you get more words, both perspectives and you'll know which works better once you've written it. 03 Nov 2007 16:45:15
No Excuses. Just Write.
