Hey all ... I just completed my first challenge today. And I thought I'd pop my little winner thingy into my sig. So I saved the image, uploaded it into my shiny new photobucket account and then copied the IMG statement that it generated for me. This I then copied into the signature area for my account, but when I press the Update button it just reverts to a blank sig. Am I doing something dumb here?

OK - feel free to ignore this now ... I just came back several hours later and did exactly the same thing again and this time it has worked... Obviously the stars were not in alignment for my first attempt. :)

You've done better than I nzchris, I still haven't been able to work that out yet. :)

Mostly just copy and paste gaye-belle. Photobucket very kindly creates email links, html code and IMG tags (the last being what ya need here) for any image you store up there. All I had to do was copy the IMG tags and paste them into my sig under 'settings'.

Photobucket certainly does make things easy. :)

Hmm, I've tried to explain here before, but when I do, it thinks it's an actual image! So...
There are instructions on the BBCode page so show how to do images. So essentially you need two things: Firstly, the URL of the image. In nzchris' case he's got a URL which links to PhotoBucket. In gaye-belle's case, she would want to link straight to the image here on KiwiWriters. From the challenge page, you can probably right click the image and choose "Copy Image Address" or "Copy Image Location" - whatever your browser gives you. Then, you just need to wrap that URL within 'img' tags (which have the square brackets around them). Again, see the BBCode page for full details. 29 Oct 2007 14:07:24
