I'm just trying to clean up my sig (take out the images, replace NaNo info with March Fantasy Madness info etc etc.

I go into my settings, click to edit my sig details. Delete the bits referring to the images etc ... then press Save ... and it drops me back to my info page BUT nothing has changed.

Am I doing something dumb or is it something else?

Hi Chris,

I've just done exactly what you described and it all works for me.

So firstly, I clicked: http://kiwiwriters.org/my/settings.html

Then: http://kiwiwriters.org/my/forum/edit.html

And added "Hi Chris :-)" to my signature. Which should appear below when I submit this reply.

Hi Chris, how are you. Andy has been doing some site cleaning up, so its not you. I had some problems with the settings part, but ok now.
Your challenge title sounds interesting, I'm wrestling with a big bossy trout at present. :)

Hiya Gaye-Belle

I'm good thanks, and all the better for being back here amongst you lovely folks again!

Glad to hear that possibly it's not all my fault that it wasn't behaving properly. I work in I.T. and my easily bruised techno-ego could not cope with the idea that it was my inability to work the system that was the problem :)

hehe - the male ego thing is well and truly beaten out of me now - courtesy of living with three redheads ... but the techo-ego still rears its ugly head from time to time :)

I'm having the same problem with changing my forum signature. I'm trying to change it, but the forum isn't saving the changes.

Same problem here too. First though it was my inexperience with bbc code but seems not.

Hi all, sorry about that. I have a feeling I know what it is but I'll have to wait until tonight when I get home to fix it :-)

I'll post again on this thread once it's sorted. Thanks all.

YAAHHHHOOOOOOO!!!!!!!

Well, I fixed up the problem. I was flumuxed for a while, I had no idea, it was strange, freaky, kinda-spaced-out and then finally I figured out what the problem was. BUT... then I needed to figure out a fix. Ohnoes.

This wasn't your standard run-of-the-mill bug though. It's taken me most of the night to find it but finally it's done. One of those which has been undetected for a while and could go undetected further.

I won't tell you all the details but I'll just say that it looks like this particular thing has been a bug for at least 6 months and only came to the surface when I added the email stuff last week.

Ok, I'm done now.

Thanks for listening :-)

/andy switches the light off, happy and safe in the knowledge that KiwiWriters.org has just become a better place (technically, of course)
