Are usernames case-sensitive or are they forced lcase?

Forced case makes baby <deity> cry. :-)

Nice work on the site.

All the user names I have seen have been lower case, so I'd assume thats just how they work. I don't know for sure though! sorry :-)

Yeah, all usernames are lowercase. There are a couple of reasons for this:

* so that there can't be 'Andy', 'andy' and 'aNdY'. This just saves any mis-identity between these people

* keeping lowercase means it also fits nicely into the URL. Since domain names aren't case sensitive, I tend to keep it all lowercase and then saves having to remember when you want to link to people's profiles, like bwooce.

Either way, I don't think it really matters. Unless there is a great reason to make them mixed case, then I'll just leave it as it is.

Finally, Bruce, welcome to the site, we hope you have fun wandering around!

So it seems you're the Bruce I knew in an earlier (working) life. I didn't know you were a writer! Hope things are going well and maybe we should catch up sometime.
