Hi there. I joined up today, after a bit of a struggle! Thanks to cassie and andy for holding the door open while I slipped in.

Mainly I write screenplays, with occasional forays into short story. Sometimes the short stories get hijacked and become outlines for screenplays. I found my way here through scriptfrenzy, which is going well - for me at least.

Back in the days when I was English and before I emigrated here, I co-wrote a number of produced plays, including seven for ihc audiences, mainly children.

I've never tried seriously to complete a novel, but I might give NaNo a go later in the year.

So that's the writing.

As for me, I'm a 50y.o. guy. I work as a 3D designer, with some crossover into film and tv work.

I'm Auckland-based, and live across "that bloody bridge" on the Shore.

I'm not a natural typist - 2 fingers and sometimes a thumb on the space bar - so don't invite me to word war.

I enjoy a cup of coffee and a good chat about our mutual passion (I do mean writing, I'm not assuming anybody else here is a Manchester United supporter!). Any other JAFAs, or out-of-towners passing through, are welcome to mail me.

I look forward to getting to know you all, either over coffee or through the forums.

I'm Keith, btw.

Hey Keith, so glad to see you finally here on the site! Thank you for your patience while it was getting sorted out :-)

There are a few of us attempting Scriptfrenzy this year - last year it coincided with our novel in a month challenge but since they moved it to April there were no excuses this time around!

Looking forward to seeing/hearing more from you and if there is anything we can help with just let us know :-)

Hi Keith, nice to have another bloke on board. They seem to hide periodically from here (when there is work to be done!)
Have been briefly to Manchester, getting off one train, at one station and taxiing through the town to the other station to catch another train.
Jafa's are ok, been one once, but so long as they stay north of the Bombays.
There are social meet ups at different centres, except Invercargill, (there are only two members from here.)
Good luck with your script, and consider our Socnoc challenge in June to warm you up for Nano. :)

*wave* It's nice to have someone around who works outside of novels. I'm sure you'll find your way around the site and will be able to post some great member challenges for us. :)

Hi Keith, sorry about all the problems signing up. Glad you kept at us. Hopefully I've fixed the sign-up problem now and the emails should be getting through too.

Glad to have you onboard. As gaye-belle says, us blokes sometimes disappear for a while but also seem to wander back.

I'm sure there are other people up on the Shore. Hopefully you might meet a few online and maybe IRL.

Hey Andy good to see you back.
We know you guys do a lot of work behind the scenes, and you know I like to get a 'dig' in now and then. :)

Thanks for the welcomes.

For anyone else doing Frenzy, good luck. The finish line is in sight.

I'll check out the SocNoc challenge for June, although I may be moving house then, which will probably tie up a lot of my time. Boxes, boxes, boxes. And some more boxes.
