So yes I finally worked out what I am going to write about. *giggling* No I havent even started yet. Yes Shame on me and all that stuff but I just had a few ideas and nothing jumped out and screamed WRITE ME!
That was until today and I somehow worked out a few details in my head about a fantasy I had started over a year ago and never could get the wrinkled out of. Until now! I just know know know what I have to do to get this puppy moving. I just need the weekend to come fast so I can just blitz through it as I have to just sit and write without stopping to get the flow going. Did I mention this story only really flows when I write in long hand..LOL So a cramped hand will be had by all.
I will save everyone with my excited details and head back to writing a really silly fanfic for my henchducks birthday present.

Any cats in this one xengab? :)

Taken me a while to settle on something to write about.
Have been reading a Stephen King book, my head is full of coyotes, bats, wolves, eagles, rats, fiddle-back spiders and scorpions, and weird plots. Taking a while to clear the head.

Your enthusiasm is infectious!

So chuffed to hear that you've got the kink out of your story and you're able to fire ahead unhindered.
I had been absentmindedly wondering what to write about, what will happen and how it will all work out, but now I've decided - stuff that! I'm just going to do it and see where it takes me!

I dabbled a little with socnoc and thought about nanowrimo but nothing actually happened with them. Though now it is a new year it is a perfect time for a new approach...

Go For It!!

You go Jem, you can do it!
(though I'm wondering if I have enough to do 20,000, but this always happens at this stage.)
I see you have introduced a friend on the site, and she is going well. :)

It is a new year Jem! looking forward to watching your progress. I always love hearing how everyone is doing :-)
Gaye-belle, you're right about that freak out stage where you wonder whether there is enough there to make it to X number of words - only way to find out is to keep writing tho! I see your word count is climbing really nicely already.

Good luck to xengab and jem!! I, uh, still haven't started yet, exactly, but look forward to seeing you both at the finish line anyway (Race you there?) ;)

xengab, that's exactly what's just happened to me - there's another thread somewhere when people were talking about lurgee's title and then an idea just hit me.

Now I'm chuffed too :-)

Im chuffed that everyone else is chuffed. (if I said that at work no one would understand me).

I have also started writing my story and all is going well. I like my stuff to flow and it is doing that. Just not in the way or direction I was originally planning, its better! Means alot more notes will need to be written afterwards as this is going to be a series.

Thanks for all your encouragement, and well done to all of you, you're doing great!
Super well done to Cassie of course - how do you do it so quickly? Yay you!

I didn't quite manage the flowing freely approach to writing that I had hoped for and it hasn't gone as easily as I had intended, as I got far too busy at work and had to work the weekend as well!

But I do have a story idea and I'm plodding along with it. I'm actually experimenting with an odd way of writing it - I'm writing both the story and the script at the same time. A little strange, but I find that if I'm not in a flowing mood I can still move my story along with script settings, directions and dialogues - which sometimes gets me in the head space to flow anyway. I'll let you know how it works out :-)

Well spotted gay-belle, I did introduce a friend... she's actually my daughter! I thought it would give us a bit of holiday amusement - and it is, the only problem is she's racing ahead of me!!!

But I'm chuffed she's doing so well! :-)
I just need to catch up with her, a bit of healthy competition is good for us I say! :-D

Wrote more today, surprising really what a few battered prawns in tartar sauce can do for ones out look on life.

Also I have a big rant that I am sure the evil writer fairies will pass along.
I am doing a round robin writing thing on another group. I wrote this cool scene, sure it was intense and then next chapter BAM, dude wakes up and it was all a dream. I am wondering if they had no clue where to go from what I wrote (to me it seemed simple and gave many options) but all they want to write about seems to be romance *sighs* I really feel like I wasted my time on it. Anyway back to the old writing note pad and more on my fantasy!

Aw that would kinda gut me I think, having the next person make everything you wrote a dream... a bit sad they only seem to want to do romance. Maybe you can work on the scene you did for something of your own?
Good luck with the writing today :-)
