And it feels so good.
Not entirely sure about the story. Feeling a bit weird after writing something so different to what I normally do, though that said, there is always a little bit of darkness in everything I write. Ah well, onto the next thing!
Good luck to everyone else! you can totally do it.

Well done cassie.
Strange as I worked on a different style too. A male MC, third person, little dialogue, a bit macabre, about something I know little about, and total fiction.
Good experience though, takes you out of your comfort zone. :)

Yeah definitely. Really need to go back and fix the tense in the last bit of the story. I think it might bug me til I do it, even though I don't care. Well, maybe I care a little.... Dan is a lovely little good/bad guy in the end.

Well done. Hope it works out for you.
Ive no excuse but that of being lazy..LOL Hubby has been watching this TV show on DVD and has me hooked on it too.
But I will keep writing on and on until it done and I get this challenge won! Sure things would be faster if I wasnt bothering to type up my long hand notes but least I have done a first edit on what is written so far..LOL

My idea of hell is being trapped in a room with no books!

No one can accuse you of being lazy xengab, with your efforts with Nano, doing two stories.
Nice to spend some time with hubby.
Though must admit I have done 2,390 words, plus two pages of a film script, since my hubby went back to work today, and mowed the lawns before it rained. :)

Very productive!!
I read the novel I am planning on submitting for the publishing challenge, fiance came home and saw me lying around on the couch, I think he thought I was relaxing - I told him it may look that way but I was working ;-)

That usually happens to me, cassie. Busy doing other things, by the time HE comes home I'm at the computer. I get quite a bit of writing done while the tea is burning, ah cooking!

Have you got your study results back yet?

Oh well done cassie. I have a friend studying music at Otago, graduated, going for her Masters next.
She is getting married in February too. :)

Yeah it seems like its a busy month for weddings, and its right around the corner now.
I did contemplate the Masters thing but I really just need some time off. Now is the time to focus on my family and my writing and I'll look at the study thing again later on ;-)

I was going to do some study this year, but I'm in a creative mood so far this year. Tired of trying to improve myself, quite happy as I am.
Painting the exterior of the house, then will start on the interior.
Have a book out of the library for making scarecrows, so gathering bits. Have already created a modern art structure in the garden, made of junk. My husband said it was 'quite unusual.' :)
A fairy tale model railway for exhibition on Labour weekend, and helping Hubby with his.
Oh and there's writing too of course. :)

Aah finished with Nigel the Nerd, now I can go and do all those other things. With a wedding to go to in the middle of it. Before gearing up for the Waitangi Word Wace. (That makes me think of 'that wascally wabbit').

Definitely wedding season, my google home page is telling me 26 days to go.... man that doesn't seem like a lot. May have to put editing on hold til I actually have everything organized for the wedding lol.

That's a pity, bad start for the new year being sick. Hope it clears soon.

I've had a sore knee for a while, I make it work while I'm in the garden and hubby has to put up with the moaning at the end of the day.
Can prop it up and write though, so that's the main thing.

I shall jump on Cassies post, so not to create more topics, but thank the gods, I'm finally done. I hoped to get this done a little quicker, but it's been a challenging month to date. No excuse, but there it is.

So, for barbarian pulp fiction, I tentatively think it filled all the needs. Pointless plot all wrapped up by the end, and a few loose ends hanging out for possible sequels. Almost makes me wanna write a sequel. But certainly not any time soon!

Right. Now to join Cassie in eternal editing and novel scrubbing. Race on everyone else! There's time to finish yet!

Well done maui-potiki. Another gold star.
Not the best month for challenges, I sort of got mine out of the way, to pursue other things.
Ended up liking the story, could have made more of the court case in the end, but didn't want it to sound like a typical TV American melodrama.
As you say there's time after to improve or add to.
Are you going to do the Waitangi Word Wace next?
