I posted this on the Nanoforums but felt it was worth reposting here.
I listen to a variety of things depending on the mood that I need. Last year I listened to a lot of modern vocal music. This year I seem to listening to a lot of movie scores. The Illusionist, Notes On A Scandal are a few. Pretty much anything by Philip Glass. I was recently turned on to a new composer. His name is Sean Beeson and he writes music that can be used for gaming (RPG's and the like) He's written for a plethora of other mediums such as film and stage as well. The cool thing is that A LOT of it is FREE for download on his website. Sean Beeson So far I've gotten everything (about 83 songs) And have a feeling that I will be listening to him a bunch over the course of November. 20 Oct 2007 01:05:56

I might just try that firefly, I am in the lounge where the TV is in the background and on every channel watchable, or just to listen to, there is rugby on. If my husband was here (he's away for a week) it would be motor sport, and loud.
Plus the wind is blowing a gale, and rain pouring on the roof. Bet it's good weather in November. ): 20 Oct 2007 16:44:04

I would love it, if you could send some of that rain my way. Even though we've had a break in the weather here in Texas it is still pretty warm. Still too warm for me to go for walks and such.

No power meant no water as well for us. No computer ): but curled up by the fire, with a good book by candlelight. Like they used to do in the old days. :)

re: sean beeson
I know a lot of those tracks! One can almost picture the scene it came with. Music is an amazing thing, it locks an image in the brain as an associate. 15 Jul 2008 13:54:39

I recall reading by kerosene lamp when the power went out.
We lost power for a week. Lived in the deep country back then. Now there is no deep country. Used to have cows as our neighbours and the supermarket was 45 minutes away by car. With no TV, I finished Needful Things in four days. And typed 83 pages of a novel I never completed. 15 Jul 2008 13:58:26

Thanks, firefly! That music is awesome! I'll have to download what I can.
I'm glad you posted it here, too. The nano forums are getting so big that I might never have stumbled onto it. I love writing to music-- it really helps to get the right emotion. Thanks again! Cheers, 17 Jul 2008 03:10:15

Ok, firefly, how did you download the music from the website? I could not figure it out. :(
I'm probably missing the obvious, but I could use a little help, please! Thanks, 17 Jul 2008 04:12:31
