What do you guys think of the The Creative Commons licenses?
Generally, that means you've put your story on the internet and you choose what people can do with it (for example, share, alter or even sell it). It's certainly not everyone's tastes - particularly if you want to publish it, but for those throwaway stories and exercises, why not? As you can tell, I'm a fan but then, I'm never going to get anything published so I suppose it's all for experimentation value :-) 30 May 2007 23:22:02

I don't think it's any different from open source software.
People feel that stories are a little more personal maybe? I think it's a great idea for people who buy in. You have a few ideas, you want to play around with them... you aren't going to use them anyway - fun, especially when you get it back after it's been through a few people and you have another go. I might try that out. 31 May 2007 14:51:45 |
