Now I have to actually get on with my day. It's beautiful weather, so there's washing to do and sun to enjoy. Not to mention the study I've planned. My story will sit on 500 for the rest of the day, but hopefully I will have more time this evening to finish todays goal.

Well done :-) good to get started! I had actually totally forgotten it was Waitangi day today - totally focused on the little one's birthday party this morning hehe. Good luck to all those participating in the challenge! Hope to see a lot of other people's 'first words' on the charts by the end of the day.

Well, Hello again to you all :-)
Well done Redfox you've made a cracking start already!
I have decided to bite the bullet and give this one a jolly good bash!
The other challenges I have signed up for seem to get forgotten and fade into a distant memory, the most recent being the novella - where work was to blame for getting the better of me and leaving little time for anything else.
But not anymore, no siree not for me! Now I shall have the better of me - and so shall my writng I'm hoping :-)
This could be a bit of a daft challenge to try and prove myself on, as I have a teenage daughter's birthday sleepover on Saturday night!
Oh well, there's always time for a mad Sunday dash :-)
Good luck everyone!

That's a good start redfox, I usually get started early to save a mad dash or interruptions towards the end of the challenge.
I've been trying to make a start painting the house for the last few weeks, and did actually get started today.
Have been chewing over ideas while doing so, will make a start tonight if not too tired. Thought I'd do a children's story for a change.
You go jem, you can do it. :)
