Did it, but didnt sign up in time to be official.

Hi all,
Well I did the challenge and managed to squeak in 7610 words before midday today but of course I didnt check the finish time properly (it says 11:59 not 23:59) so I didnt join the challenge in time. Serves me right for not checking my e-mail and internet until after lunch. Never mind. It was worth doing though. I did think of doing another short story like last year but being away from town meant I didnt really have time to think about characters so I worked on one of my novels from last year and the words came easily. I now realise how much time goes into just the characters. Doing this amount of words on a new story is hard but in adding to an old one it isnt. Hope everyone else did well. Well done anyway.
I thought it was midnight too, been caught like that before. Finished a challenge, went to put on my total at 8 p.m. and found the challenge ended at 7 pm. :) 10 Feb 2008 15:13:25

I thought I had until midnight too. Oh well, I'm still really happy with how I went, although I was still a good 2k away. And now that I've started writing the story I think I'll be able to finish it (but not until after my exam).
