Super Efficiency and Time Saving Tips

Followed by Procrastination and Other Time Wasting Ideas.
Nothing is ever right or wrong. It's never black or white. Nor is it ever true or false. It's usually somewhere in between, a shade of grey or a matter of opinion.
Writing is no different and SoCNoC positively epitomises all of these things in one crazy, unbalanced, hardworking, procrastination yielding, yet tidily delicious achievable aim. Or something along those lines. So to continue with contrasts, extremes and somewhere in-betweens, I present two lists. One for saving time, one for wasting it - or to put it another way - One for wasting time, one for saving it.
There, that last sentence was an example of a complete waste of time. As is this one. Onto the lists:
To Save Time
- make 6 meals instead of 2, freeze the rest - instant TV dinners
- learn the keyboard shortcuts of your editor (like Ctrl-Backspace to delete a whole word)
- turn the internet off, or at least ignore its large shadow for a while
- write in 10 minute bursts, or even better, have a Word Race with other people
- if you get three minutes, write a little; if you get four, write a little more
- while you're writing, rip your CDs - you're just sitting there anyways :-P
- take breaks for both physical and mental state; you'll be quicker when you return
To Waste Time
- eat Pistachio nuts instead of peanuts
- read your email/blogs/KW forums (actually, the last one is allowed and encouraged)
- read an article on WikiPedia and open up 12 going on 20 new windows
- sleep more, you're gonna need that energy later in the month to catch up
- dance to every other song and sing along to the rest
- put your feet up and re-watch (for the tenth time) that old favourite movie
and finally, the top way of wasting time is:
- having your hands hovering over the keyboard thinking "Hmm, what shall I write about?" - just get on and TYPE!
And that concludes my attempt at not writing my novel. Back to the novel I go, but before that, The Locomotion has just come on and I must get up and dance.

Lol. I loved the 'sleep more, you're gonna need that energy later in the month to catch up'! And you got the Ctrl-Backspace thing in. :) Ctrl-Delete also works the same.

Since when is sleeping wasting time? I strongly disagree with your time waster! It does sound really nice though... mmmm... sleep.

No, I said "...sleep more..." not just "...sleep..."!
Sleep is good, sleeping too much is bad :-)
