KIWI WRITERS TAKE UP THE CHALLENGE
A 50,000 word, 175 page novel in 30 days
WELLINGTON – May 18, 2007
Have you ever wanted to write a novel? How about doing it in 30 days? Bring your imagination and Kiwi Writers will provide a deadline and support. That’s all you need for a high speed, no holds barred, month of creation, manic typing, crazy plotting and late deluded nights.
From midnight 1 June until 11:59 p.m. on June 30 writers from around the world will join local participants in the inaugural Southern Cross Novel Challenge. Miserable wintry weather and a long weekend sets the scene for the Southern Cross Novel Challenge (SoCNoC), NaNoWriMo for the southern hemisphere.
In 8 years, National Novel Writing Month has grown from 21 participants to over 70,000. The Southern Cross Novel Challenge already has more participants than NaNoWriMo had in its first year.
KiwiWriters.org hosts the Southern Cross Novel Challenge and has many more fun, inspiring ideas coming in future months.
