Preparation & Excitement
Kiwi Writers has seen a swell in its numbers through October with 50 new members signing up to see our ranks bump over the 200 mark. Welcome to all of you. We hope you enjoy our friendly little corner of the world.
NaNoWriMo is almost upon us and our preparation challenges have brought out the planner in many participants. The enticing Preliminary Projects for NaNo-ites challenge was by far the most popular with 31 participants and 10 winners. The NaNoWriMo Preparation series also had a good following with over a dozen participants working their way through the four weeks. How will the planners go through the novelling month? We'll report back after the 30 day literary marathon.
For those of you who aren't embarking on 50,000 word extravaganza don't give up writing all together during November. The member challenges are just waiting for a short story weekend or comedic challenge after the rush of preparation in October.
The Kiwi Writers Admin met again last weekend to look at the year ahead. Look out for a couple little things in December and then the New Year being kicked off on 1 February by saying Happy Birthday to Kiwi Writers. But don't let us slow you down over the holiday period. It really is you, the member, the participant, the writer who makes Kiwi Writers the fun and encouraging place it is.
